TruePath Vision (TPV) is a computer vision and AI company that helps organizations enhance
security and customer experience through intelligent video analytics.
TPV was born out of a project aimed at identifying victims of human trafficking.
The company’s origins trace back to a collaboration between Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Tim Tebow Foundation, which sought innovative ways to support the global fight against trafficking and modern slavery. Jason Williamson, co-founder of TPV and a data science professor at the University of Virginia, began developing advanced facial recognition tools to aid that effort.
With studies showing that nearly 80% of trafficking victims in the U.S. pass through the hospitality network, TPV expanded its focus to build technology tailored for the hospitality industry—launching its first major deployment at the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Since then, TruePath Vision has continued to grow its platform, developing patented technologies that transform existing IP cameras into AI-enabled smart sensors—allowing customers to implement cutting-edge capabilities without new capital expenditure. Today, TPV’s technology extends far beyond facial recognition, offering object detection, real-time alerts, and pattern recognition for virtually any item or behavior of interest.
